Gaming Tables & Equipment Use

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of gaming tables, accessories, and related equipment (“Equipment”) provided by The Adventurer's Attic (“the Store”). By reserving, accessing, or using the Equipment, all members (“Members” or “You”) agree to comply with these Terms.
1. Eligibility & Membership
1.1 Use of gaming tables and Equipment is limited to active Members with a valid membership or authorised guests accompanied by a Member.
1.2 Members must be at least 18 years old, or accompanied by a legal guardian if younger.
1.3 The Store reserves the right to verify identification and membership status at any time.
2. Reservations & Time Limits
2.1 Tables may be used according to the online reservation system, found at: https://theadventurersattic.co.uk/booking.
2.2 Reserved tables must be claimed within 20 minutes of reservation time or may be released.
2.3 The Store may limit usage duration during peak hours.
3. Proper Use of Equipment
3.1 Members must use all Equipment responsibly and only for its intended gaming purpose.
3.2 No modification, disassembly, or misuse of any Equipment is permitted.
3.3 Miniatures, terrain, dice, mats, decks of cards, board game components or specialty items provided by the Store must remain onsite unless expressly permitted.
4. Care & Damage
4.1 Members are responsible for maintaining cleanliness and returning Equipment in the condition in which it was provided.
4.2 Any damage, loss, or theft attributable to a Member may result in:
- Charges for repair or replacement
- Suspension of table-use privileges
- Termination of membership in severe cases
4.3 Members must immediately report any malfunctioning or damaged Equipment.
5. Conduct & Behaviour
5.1 Respectful behaviour toward staff and other patrons is mandatory.
5.2 Harassment, discriminatory speech, aggressive behaviour, or excessive noise will not be tolerated.
5.3 Food and beverages must be kept away from Equipment unless permitted in designated areas.
5.4 The Store reserves the right to ask any Member to leave for inappropriate conduct.
6. Personal Belongings
6.1 Members are responsible for their own belongings. The Store is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.
6.2 Items left unattended may be moved or stored at staff discretion.
7. Safety Rules
7.1 Running or other conduct that may endanger others or damage Equipment is prohibited.
7.2 Use of electrical outlets or chargers must be approved by staff.
7.3 Hazardous materials, liquids, or tools (such as paints, knives, or glue) must be used only in approved areas.
8. Photos, Video, and Recording
8.1 The Store reserves the right to take photos or videos for promotional purposes.
8.2 Within the Store, Members may only take photos or videos of people or their belongings (such as miniatures) with their express permission.
9. Store Property & Restrictions
9.1 Removing Store property from the premises without permission is strictly prohibited.
9.2 Commercial activities such as hosting paid events, selling items, or promoting external groups require prior authorization.
10. Liability & Disclaimer
10.1 Members use the tables and Equipment at their own risk.
10.2 The Store is not responsible for injuries resulting from misuse of Equipment or failure to follow rules.
10.3 To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Store disclaims liability for any direct, indirect, or incidental damages arising from use of the facilities.
11. Rule Enforcement
11.1 Store staff may enforce these Terms at their discretion.
11.2 Violations may result in warnings, temporary bans, or permanent removal from the premises.
12. Amendments
12.1 The Store reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted within the premises or online and Members will be notified.
12.2 Continued use of the Equipment after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Acknowledgment
By using the gaming tables and Equipment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions.
Gift Voucher Terms & Conditions
- Redeemable in-store only at The Adventurer's Attic, Birkenhead.
- Valid for 12 months from the date of issue (expiry date printed on voucher).
- Voucher must be presented at checkout to redeem.
- Can be used toward any products, events or gaming fees, unless stated otherwise.
- No cash alternative — any remaining balance will be issued as store credit.
- Lost, stolen or damaged vouchers cannot be replaced.
- Voucher is non-refundable and cannot be used to purchase additional gift vouchers.
- The Adventurer's Attic reserves the right to refuse a voucher if it is suspected to be altered, copied or fraudulent.
Painting Contests
1. Entry Submission
To enter, you must submit an image via the monthly announcement post on Facebook or by DM on Instagram or Whatsapp.
This image must include:
- The models you are submitting
- Your signature
- The date of submission
Your models must not be painted at this stage. Undercoating is allowed.
Models may be at any stage from still on sprue to fully built.
Any discrepancies will be raised and clarified by staff.
2. Multiple Projects
You may submit multiple projects, however only one entry per person may be entered for final voting / judging.
3. Ownership & Work
All entries are assumed to be completed by the person submitting them.
If this is found not to be the case, you will be disqualified.
4. Deadlines
All submissions must be received by the stated closing time.
There is no leeway for late entries.
5. Prizes
Community competition:
- 1st Place – £15 in-store credit
- 2nd Place – £10 in-store credit
- 3rd Place – £5 in-store credit
- Credit must be spent within 8 weeks of the winners being announced.
- If fewer than 5 total entries are received, only 1st place will be awarded.
Pro competition:
- Prize pool scales with entries
- One overall winner (staff judged)
6. Voting
Community competition:
- Voting takes place Saturday & Sunday following the closing date
- Voting is done in-store only
- Votes can be cast by entrants, but they are not permitted to vote for themselves
- A points-based system is used (1st = more points than 3rd)
Pro competition:
- Judged by staff only
- Winner determined by combined category scores
Winners will be announced Sunday evening or the following day.
7. Collection of Entries
Entrants are advised to collect their models as soon as possible after winners are announced.
8. Agreement
By entering this contest, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to all of the above terms and conditions.
